The Obama Administration, The Democrat Political Party, And The UN Will Cancel The 2nd Amendment - UPDATED

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg may prefer “No Labels” but in his case, many feel “gun grabber” is a pretty fitting one. As part of his misguided crusade to tighten up gun laws nationally, The New York Times reports that Hizzoner sent undercover cops to gun shows in Arizona and found they were violating the law (ctrl-click HERE to launch video alert by Dick Morris). The Obama Administration, The Democrat Political Party, And The UN Will Cancel The 2nd Amendment

Do the words LAME Duck mean anything to you? What does international treaty and its application to the laws of a sovereign country mean to the people of said sovereign country?

Well, the answers to these two questions and the effect on our freedoms here in the United States may have real and serious consequences to our way of life as the Obama Administration, the Democrat political party, and the United Nations seek to curb access to ones self-protection and self-determination here in the United States through a treaty.

Seeking Rules for the World’s Guns
By Paul R. Pillar / x-CIA analyst - July 9, 2012

A conference opened last week under the auspices of the United Nations to draft a multilateral treaty aimed at controlling the international trade in conventional arms. Such a treaty potentially could do significant good, although many legitimate questions remain concerning its terms and feasibility.

Neither the good nor the bad is likely to be clarified in public discussion about the treaty within the nation that is the world’s biggest arms exporter and thus the most important player in this process: the United States. We are more likely to hear the sort of ill-informed debate that too often has characterized treatment of multilateral conventions, as we have seen most recently with the law of the sea treaty.

The background of the prospective arms-trade treaty being discussed in New York should make politicization of the issue in the United States unsurprising. A resolution of the U.N. General Assembly intended to advance the subject in 2006 passed with 153 states in favor, twenty-four abstentions and a vote against by the United States. Three years later, the Obama administration reversed its predecessor’s opposition and announced its support for negotiating the treaty.
----
What debate has already taken place in the United States on the prospective treaty has featured some of the same infringement-of-sovereignty notions that were heard in opposing ratification of the law of the sea convention. In the case of the prospective arms-trade treaty, the National Rifle Association has been out in front with warnings about how the treaty supposedly would circumvent the Second Amendment.
----
Some of the legitimate reasons to raise doubts about an arms-trade treaty concern its effectiveness — and its effect on the arms balances in local conflicts — given the extent of gray-market arms dealing outside the control of governments that would be parties to the treaty.

Other legitimate concerns involve the inevitable differences of view in trying to develop criteria for proscribing or limiting arms transfers and in applying any such criteria consistently in different areas of conflict. One man’s contribution to local security is another man’s stoking of regional instability.

Informed debate about these and other legitimate concerns is likely to be less prominent than ill-informed statements about such things as taking away the people’s right to bear arms. The fact that the conference in New York is scheduled to conclude its work near the end of this month — amid a U.S. presidential election campaign — will make the subject ripe for the crasser forms of politicization.

On U.S. insistence, the rules of the conference provide that unanimity is required for a draft treaty to emerge directly from it.
----
That will repeat the experiences of the law of the sea convention and the treaty that established the International Criminal Court, with all the uncertainties of the United States not being a party to a major element of otherwise widely accepted international law. If that happens, among those likely to be disappointed will be American arms exporters, who look favorably on an arms-trade treaty as a way of standardizing the many different national rules with which they now have to deal.

[Reference Here]

What this means, even though this former CIA analyst feels that the United States will not sign on to any treaty placed in front of it by the United Nations, is that world powers are desperate to find a way to control the freedom of access to firearms through "standardizing the many different national rules" worldwide regardless of their intent.

Again, "the Obama administration reversed its predecessor’s opposition and announced its support for negotiating the treaty" and we all know what that means to the average American citizen, the United States Constitution, and the desire by the progressive political class to apply CONTROL over the majority who believe that rights outlined by the 2nd Amendment are valid and unalterable.

Remember what happened with transparency during the healthcare debate in this country? Remember how most American citizens felt about the Stimulus and Omnibus spending bills and the results to our opposition to the expansion of government spending (an additional 6 Trillion dollars of debt and NO BUDGET in only 3.5 years)?

One of the main protections and rights outlined in the United States Constitution is about to be sold down the river in a "bow" to the world through a treaty put together by political progressives in the United Nation.

Here, during Carter's Second Term, to be clear - The Obama Administration, the Democrat political party, and the United Nations are teeing up to essentially cancel our 2nd amendment rights through the signing of an international treaty during the Lame Duck session (after the November 2012 election) of Congress.

UPDATE:

Farewell to the arms treaty – for now

Kenneth Epps – The Globe and Mail – Published Wednesday, Aug. 01 2012, 2:00 AM EDT
Lost in the hoopla of the opening ceremony of the Olympics, a vital international marathon of another kind ended Friday with a race suspension just before the finish line. At the United Nations in New York, a month of intensive multilateral negotiations on the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) to regulate international transfers of conventional weapons concluded without agreement, largely because the United States called for more time on the final day.

The U.S. announcement was a surprise. Just a few hours earlier, many participants were anticipating a positive outcome after Ambassador Roberto Garcia Moritan of Argentina, who presided over the conference, introduced a revised text that gained widespread support.

For Control Arms, the international coalition of NGOs that has campaigned for a treaty for more than a decade, Mr. Moritan’s text was not perfect.

The real reasons the United States pulled the plug are known only within the Obama administration, but many conference delegates suggested the impending U.S. presidential election was a factor.
—-
The ATT has been cynically portrayed by the National Rifle Association as a UN instrument to attack U.S. Second Amendment rights. That the U.S. gun lobby has deliberately misrepresented the treaty for its own ends is not in question. The question is whether the NRA message is believed by U.S. voters, and the assessment of the administration appears to be yes.
—-
[This is troubling] Fortunately, the ATT process did not end on Friday. The United States has called for the negotiating conference to reconvene in 2013, again operating on a consensus basis. Other countries may not wait that long nor be willing to negotiate under a consensus constraint.

Obama Administration Delivers Another Swift Kick To The Gut

"Middle class is also an attitude. It's not just about income, it's about knowing what's important, and not measuring your success just based on your bank account ... It's about your values, and being responsible, and looking after each other, and giving back." - President Obama speaking in Parma, Ohio. Image Credit: BarackObama.com

Obama Administration Delivers Another Swift Kick To The Gut

The economy added 80,000 jobs last month, the Labor Department reported Friday, after a revised increase of 77,000 in May. The unemployment rate remained at 8.2 percent.

Economists are expecting tepid job growth for the rest of the year, too.

Soon after the June unemployment numbers were announced, Mitt Romney made the following live statement from Wolfeboro, N.H., where he and his family were vacationing.,  “This is a time for Americans to choose whether they want more of the same, it doesn’t have to be this way. America can do better. And this kick in the gut has to end.”

Real unemployment, when judged factoring in with those who have given up looking for work, but want to work - 10.1%.

President Barack Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt responded in a statement.

“The President brought us back from the brink of another Depression but he doesn’t believe our work is done -- he’s got a plan to restore the middle class and create a million jobs now that Mitt Romney opposes and Republican leaders have blocked," LaBolt's statement read in part. "Mitt Romney says he has a better path, but over the past decade we saw where that took us -- to the slowest job growth since World War II, the collapse of our financial system and the deterioration of the middle class."

President Obama, on the second day of his campaign buscapade across Ohio and Pennsylvania, told supporters the creation of 80,000 jobs last month is "a step in the right direction," albeit a small step. This number barely covers the growth in population let alone the number of jobs it would take to begin a track for recovery and growth ... that number is in access of 300,000 jobs (look it up).

Little responsibility is taken by this 44th Presidency or its Administration, even though the policies they pursue continue and deepen this self-inflicted economic downturn on the American economy.

Broken Record, Broken Promises
Mitt Romney Press | July 6, 2012

Today, the Obama Administration told Americans “not to read too much into” monthly jobs reports.
As it turns out, they’ve been encouraging Americans to do that for years. But after 41 straight months of unemployment over 8%, you don’t have to read between the lines to see the truth. President Obama’s policies have failed to get America working again.

The last three employment snapshots released by the Labor Department have been persistently weak, and marked a distinct slowdown from earlier in the year. In the latest report, the department said employers added a meager 80,000 jobs in June, leaving the unemployment rate unchanged at 8.2 percent. The number of jobs added in June was lower than expected, and rounded out a poor second quarter for 2012.

The average number of monthly jobs created in the first quarter of the year was 226,000 ... by contrast, that average in the second quarter was just 75,000.

Dismal June job figures could also prompt the Federal Reserve to take further action to try to boost the economy. The Fed last month downgraded its economic outlook for 2012. It predicted growth of just 1.9 percent to 2.4 percent for the year and little change in the unemployment rate.

All of this points out that after nearly four years of a central government expansion of debt and tinkering during Carter's Second Term, the best the Obama Administration can do is deliver another swift kick to the gut in a long line of kicks to the gut on the American people and the economy they have to live in.

Friday Morning Tweets, From Holder To Hispanics

Another Bad Week in O’ Town – Anytime an incumbent is below 5% in approval ratings, that incumbent should hire a real estate agent because his time is up. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Mitt Romney attracting 48% of the vote, while President Obama earns 43%. Friday Morning Tweets, From Holder To Hispanics

This has been another bad week for President Barack Obama and his Administration. From Attorney General Eric Holder requesting and receiving Executive Privilege for having to produce documents Congress is asking Eric Holder to produce in conjunction to its investigation into the death of Brian Terry and its arms operation known as Fast and Furious to unconstitutional edicts issued from the White House on immigration policy and the Dream Act.

The following are a few tweets, with links, that give one a sense as to how bad things are going for this 44th Presidency and its Administration:

From Gun Walking To Illegals Flocking - Obama's Deadly Border Policies

The president and the Democrat political party are running scared. They are never comfortable unless they have their agenda placed ahead of, or in spite of, common sense or the rule-of-law.

This week we were able to see the contrast of two completely different policies that have life and death consequences; one that had already been implemented presumably to place greater federal control on firearms, and the other, announced just this week, with the stated intent to have our immigration laws become more humane.

The first instance is getting a lot of attention on Capitol Hill because the consequence of people dying at the hands of actions put forward by President Barack Obama's Department of Justice (DoJ) headed by the Attorney General, Eric Holder.

In a program named by the DoJ - Fast and Furious - previously identified guns were sold to known Mexican national drug cartel operatives and human smugglers and allowed to cross the border into Mexico so that the DoJ could eventually recover them and make a case that would allow this 44th Presidency and its executive branch to make the 2nd Amendment less strong and further reduce the ability of US citizens and gun sellers to have firearms. The slang for this policy has become known as "Gun Walking" and it was proven to have killed US Government border agent Brian Terry and countless other human beings along the border with these DoJ owned and sold firearms.

The second instance involves the 44th President himself and the proclamation he made to the press in the Rose Garden located just outside of the White House.

This excerpted and edited from the Los Angeles Times -

The Obama administration announced Friday it would halt the deportation of some young illegal immigrants who came to the United States as children. Here is a nuts-and-bolts guide to the policy shift [that bypassed Constitutional procedure and the rule-of-law].

Who is eligible?

To be eligible, an individual must have come to the United States before age 16 and must have continuously lived in the country for at least five years. He or she must be living in the U.S. today and must be 30 or younger. The person must also be in school, have a high school diploma or a GED, or be a member of the military or an honorably discharged veteran. Anyone convicted of a felony, serious misdemeanor or multiple misdemeanors or who otherwise poses a threat to national security is not eligible.

How many people will be eligible?

The administration estimates that 800,000 people will be affected by the policy change. Some estimates climb higher; the Pew Hispanic Center says the new guidelines could benefit as many as 1.4 million people.

Does this provide a path to citizenship?

No. The policy only allows for two years of "deferred action," meaning that deportation would be delayed for that period. After two years, a person could apply for a renewal, which would extend the deportation freeze for another two years. Only Congress can establish a path to citizenship
----
Does this allow people to get a work permit?

Yes, if a person is eligible under this policy, he or she may apply for work authorization.

How does this affect the Dream Act
[the appropriate Constitutional procedure and the rule-of-law]?

The Dream Act, a bill that would establish a path to citizenship for students or members of the military who came to the country illegally as minors, has repeatedly stalled in Congress. President Obama supports the measure. In his State of the Union address in January, he urged Congress to revisit the bill, but there is currently no version under consideration by Congress. Sen. Marco Rubio, a freshman Republican from Florida, has floated an alternative Dream Act that would create a nonimmigrant visa for qualifying students, but would not create a path to citizenship. Rubio has not yet introduced specific legislation; on Friday, he called the administration's plan "a short-term answer to a long-term problem."

If I am eligible under this new policy, can I get a driver's license?

Each state has its own policy on whether noncitizens may have driver's licenses. California Department of Motor Vehicles spokesman Mike Marando would not comment Friday on how this new policy would affect Californians.

An Imperial and Imperious President
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 3:33 PM ET - 6/15/2012

Don't be diverted by president's rhetoric, a reporter's trespass on the rules, or the president's walk-away without answering questions.

What matters here is President Obama's enormous grab of power, and it is an enormous grab of power.

If the president can do this vis-a-vis
[with] this category of immigrants he can do it vis-a-vis any category of immigrants.

And if he can do it vis-a-vis immigration law, he can do it vis-a-vis other laws, whenever
[he feels] his standard of "justice" is satisfied.

The president rightly said
[in a CNN interview] last year he could not do this.  Now, because his political fortunes are falling fast, he grabs for a power no other president in U.S. history has ever asserted.

That's the story.  And most of MSM will miss it because one reporter shouted a question and a flailing president pouted.

One more question: Has the president added to the marginal incentive for a parent to take minor children across the border regardless of the dangers involved in the crossing?

[Reference Here]

And there lies the rub, President Barack Obama, in his pursuit of a direct power solution/modification in the nation's immigration laws [which he may not truly have under the Constitution of the United States] during the lead up to an election, at the beginning of a hot and dangerous summer season, has signaled to every desperate family in Mexico (which currently has an 11% unemployment) wanting to provide a better live for their children (under 30 with black market documentation) that the border is open and will not be regulated by forces controlled by the Obama Administration ... and the DoJ!

Let the human suffering begin under the name of "humane immigration" with this overreaching presidential modification of our improperly applied and enforced immigration policies during Carter's Second Term.

From Gun Walking to Illegals Flocking ... this president has and will bring a flood of unnecessary death and suffering to our nation's Southern border.

Pres. Obama's Reality Land Happens On Thursdays

Claims for jobless benefits UNEXPECTEDLY (yeah, as if!) climbed by 6,000 to 386,000 in the week ended June 9 from a revised 380,000 the prior week that was more than first estimated, Labor Department figures showed today in Washington. Economists projected claims would fall to 375,000, according to the median estimate in a Bloomberg News survey. Image Credit: Jessica Rinaldi/Reuters

Pres. Obama's Reality Land Happens On Thursdays

With yet another revised release of information on Thursday ... the Thursday AFTER the Friday release of economic indicators found in employment and additional Government assistance, the news is always worse than reported. It is good during this 44th Presidency to never focus on the Friday numbers but to focus always on these Thursday numbers because they are almost always at least 15% more realistic.

Everyone fudges in politics but the Obama Administration has brought this process to an art of habit. Unemployment or other economic information is initially released and then this information is almost always revised by at least 15% or more in an additional negative direction ... in other words the information is WORSE than originally reported.

US unemployment aid applications rise to 386K
Published June 14, 2012 - Associated Press

More Americans sought unemployment aid last week, suggesting hiring remains sluggish.

The Labor Department said Thursday that weekly unemployment benefit applications rose 6,000 to a seasonally adjusted 386,000, an increase from an upwardly revised 380,000 the previous week.

The four-week average, a less volatile measure, rose for the third straight week to 382,000. That's the highest in six weeks.

Weekly applications are a measure of the pace of layoffs. When they drop below 375,000, it typically suggests hiring is strong enough to reduce the unemployment rate.

"The trend in jobless claims suggests ... that the underlying pace of employment growth has softened," said Bricklin Dwyer, an economist at BNP Paribas.

Applications fell steadily during the fall and winter but have since leveled off.

At the same time, hiring has slowed, raising concerns about the pace of the recovery. Employers added an average of only 96,000 jobs per month in the past three months. That's down from an average of 252,000 in the previous three months.

Weaker hiring also pushed up the unemployment rate in May to 8.2 percent, its first rise in nearly a year.
----
The total benefit rolls fell to 5.8 million in the week ending May 26, the latest data available. That's a drop of 146,000 from the previous week.
----
For now, the economy appears to be sputtering. It expanded 1.9 percent in the first quarter, down from 3 percent in the October-December quarter. Growth isn't expected to improve much in the current April-June quarter.

Consumers remain cautious. Retail sales fell 0.2 percent in May, the Commerce Department said Wednesday, matching April's decline. It was the first back-to-back drop in two years.
----
The economy is still struggling three years after the recession officially ended in June 2009. Wages haven't kept up with inflation. State and local governments have continued to shed jobs.

The United States has regained less than 3.8 million
[not the 4.4 million claimed by Pres. Obama in a press conference last week], or 43 percent, of the 8.8 million jobs lost during and immediately after the recession.
[Reference Here]

When the information has to do with monthly reporting figures, the true reporting of the figures happens about one-month later ... the same thing happens with quarterly economic indicators. Why can not the Federal Government report more truthful information at the original time the report is due? An adjustment within say, 5% or so can be understood and dismissed but a consistent miss-statement of information that is off by 15% or more is not understandable or should never be dismissed.

In a President Obama world, known here as Carter's Second Term, any report that has the possibility of a regressive or negative trend should never be taken as first reported. In fact, the trust in this 44th Presidency to be honest with the American people has eroded to the point that everything this executive branch and its bureaucracies report can never be relied upon as based in reality ... this only happens in revision.

The Obama Family And Photo ID's

Q: Is it true that nobody remembers Obama attending Columbia University? -- A: At least one of his classmates remembers him well, and the university proudly claims Obama. Caption Credit: FactCheck.org | Image Credit: Twitter

The Obama Family And Photo ID's

The internet is much more fun then what Americans use to do to become informed a couple of decades ago ... read a newspaper, attend a class, or go to the library.

Information is readily available and, more importantly through the use of social media and communications web programs (Twitter and the expanded application, Tweet Deck), just flows to one's consciousness with incredible speed with greater depth/diversity than ever before here during Carter's Second Term.

Take, for example these two items that involve photo identification and two members of a family united through marriage.

The two members of a family related through marriage would be from the first family of the United States, the 44th President and his wife Barack and Michelle Obama, and the photo identification information that was presented/found on the internet involves two completely different issues.

The first issue that involves photo ID has the information communicated to inform all of those people who wish to attend and meet with Michelle Obama, at a downtown Washington D.C. Barnes & Noble store located at 555 12 St. NW, at E St. On Friday June 8th.

It's difficult to go on a book tour when you're married to the Leader of the Free World, but First Lady Michelle Obama will visit a Washington, DC, Barnes & Noble bookstore over the next week to autograph copies of her newly published book American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America. First Lady Requires Photo ID for Her Book Signings; Voter ID Law-hating Media Fail to Note Obama Hypocrisy
By John Bates | June 06, 2012 | 13:11

The Obama administration has done its best to oppose states from instituting new, stricter voter ID laws, complaining that many minority voters lack photo identification. But those same folks it wants voting in November are apparently not welcome anywhere near the First Lady's book signings. Something tells me that the same media outlets comparing voter ID laws to the Jim Crow Laws, however, won't see any hint of hypocrisy here, if they even report the story at all.

As stated on the blog Obama Foodorama

On Friday, June 8th, those wishing to attend the event must purchase a copy of the First Lady's book at the location and leave it at the store, according to the employee. At the same time, customers must also submit their social security number and show an official photo ID (driver's license, passport) to a Secret Service agent, and they will be issued a wristband to the First Lady's event on June 12.( Emphasis added)

The liberal media, particularly Obama-boosting cable network MSNBC has done its best to attack voter ID laws as discriminatory at best and racist at worst.

The second bit of information involving photo identification and an Obama has to do with this Barry Soetoro proof of status and identification to New York's Columbia University issued in 1981.

If you hadn't guessed, Barry Soetoro is how our current president Barack Obama referred to himself as he pursued his life before finishing his education in liberal political philosophy and law.

Some of the interesting information found on the photo ID card image shared on Twitter is that it was issued in 1981, the bearer had attained an Associate of Arts degree (Occidental College located near Eagle Rock, CA - assumed), the ID number is #600962011054355, and that the bearer is designated as a "Foreign Student" (foreign to where? - out of state, out of nation, out of this world????).

The second case of Photo ID contains more questions than it has answers because it was shared at Twitter with 140 characters alerting those who noticed the Tweet about the existence of the Photo ID Card and a link since lost.

What we do know though is that Barry Soetoro is now our President and that this information about him was never shared before his election to our highest office and it would have been nice to know that Barry/Barack was one of the few college students who had the attention to detail to have attained an Associates of Arts degree along his path to a full Bachelors Degree and professors credential.

By the way, what were his grades at Occidental College, Columbia University, and ... etc.?

UPDATE: ID# Found

The ID of Barry Soetoro for Columbia University is not authentic because the ID template used for the image appearing on Twitter was not used by Columbia until 1996 - fraud busted but real questions remain ... did Barry Soetoro/Barack Obama actually get an AA Degree from Occidental? and ... what were his grades at Occidental College, Columbia University, and ... etc.?

About Snopes.com

The Obama Administration isn't joking, however, when it insists on people having to show proper identification for a book signing with Michelle Obama but also insists that NO ID should be required for a person to vote for/against a binding law or a representative to any political office here in the United States.

“Day One” In A Romney Run Executive Branch Of Government

Today, Mitt Romney’s first commercial of the general election will be released (see video) and it says that on “Day One” in the White House he would … Approve The Keystone Pipeline, Introduce Tax Cuts, and Issue Orders To Begin Replacing Obamacare. The Romney campaign’s first official ad in over a month will air today through next Tuesday in Ohio, Iowa, Virginia and North Carolina.

In 2008, we all had “Hope & Change” but no real understanding what an Obama run Executive Branch of government would look like.

In 2008, then candidate Senator (Illinois) Barack Obama promised Reducing The Deficit And Debt, Lobbyists “Won’t Find A Job In My White House”, and Transparency In Law Making complete with a minimum 72 hour internet posting of any proposed law before a vote by Congress.

In 2009, President Barack Obama further promised The Stimulus Will Keep Unemployment Below 8 Percent, Stimulus Jobs Will Not Be Shipped Overseas, the Housing Plan Will Save Millions From Foreclosure, Health Care Negotiations Will Be Televised, ObamaCare Will Reduce Premiums, and The Stimulus Will Create “Shovel-Ready Jobs”.

After over three years, we have a clear understanding and, sadly, the type of Executive Branch that was promised … never materialized.

We all now have a new target to have hope for in the nature of the change in the promises made by a replacement leader for the Executive Branch of government.

Let the 2012 election season begin here during the last of Carter's Second Term!
