New Obama “Forward” Slogan Has Deeper Ties Than Just To MSNBC, As In Lean Forward

Obama's re-election team unveiled its new motto in a video released Monday morning. The seven-minute video begins by recalling the grim state of the nation's economy when Obama took office, then ticks through what the campaign says are the president's accomplishments, both on the economy and other issues. New Obama slogan has long ties to Marxism, socialism
By Victor Morton – April 30, 2012, 06:56PM

The Obama campaign apparently didn’t look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, “Forward” — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.
Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name “Forward!” or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called “Forward (generic name of socialist publications).”

“The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications,” the online encyclopedia explains.

The slogan “Forward!” reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.

The Obama campaign released its new campaign slogan Monday in a 7-minute video. The title card has simply the word “Forward” with the “O” having the familiar Obama logo from 2008. It will be played at rallies this weekend that mark the Obama re-election campaign’s official beginning.

There have been at least two radical-left publications named “Vorwaerts” (the German word for “Forward”). One was the daily newspaper of the Social Democratic Party of Germany whose writers included Friedrich Engels and Leon Trotsky. It still publishes as the organ of Germany’s SDP, though that party has changed considerably since World War II. Another was the 1844 biweekly reader of the Communist League. Karl Marx, Engels and Mikhail Bakunin are among the names associated with that publication.

East Germany named its Army soccer club ASK Vorwaerts Berlin (later FC Vorwaerts Frankfort).
Vladimir Lenin founded the publication “Vpered” (the Russian word for “forward”) in 1905. Soviet propaganda film-maker Dziga Vertov made a documentary whose title is sometimes translated as “Forward, Soviet” (though also and more literally as “Stride, Soviet”).

Conservative critics of the Obama administration have noted numerous ties to radicalism and socialists throughout Mr. Obama’s history, from his first political campaign being launched from the living room of two former Weather Underground members, to appointing as green jobs czar Van Jones, a self-described communist.

 In this country, this is all very interesting especially when one considers that Media Matters (a George Soros funded progressive viewpoint internet communications group), which has admitted to writing the headline news for MSNBC news segment anchors in co-ordination with the Obama Administration, amounts to the only thing FORWARD about this White House and its campaign to retain control for another four years.

So, it is time for all of us to LEAN FORWARD and end Carter's Second Term of failures come November 2012 and vote for … Mitt Romney so we can really take our country forward to the successes that made America great from the very beginning.

If We, At Politisite, Wanted A Free And Constitutional America To Fail ...

A central understanding of why nations fail has found that political institutions and the behavior of ruling elites largely determine the economic success or failure of the countries they operate in. If most Americans have experienced virtually no economic gains for decades, perhaps we should cast our gaze on the Constitutional and political factors in/or out of effect throughout our own society. If We, At Politisite, Wanted A Free And Constitutional America To Fail ...

Today on the Rush Limbaugh radio program, Rush mentioned and played a few snippets of a video produced and posted by FreeMarketAmerica.org. The presentation gave light to the how and why America appears to be going backward and failing on the goals and opportunity that had once been hallmarks to a free and Constitutional America.

Ryan Houck, the Executive Director of FreeMarketAmerica.org, a project of Americans for Limited Government, produced this opinion presentation which was inspired by Paul Harvey’s “If I were the Devil” published in 1964 and 1996.

Paul Harvey was a cultural and news story commentator that became one of the first to reach millions of people with his presentations. He used the medium of radio in the form of a 15 minute syndicated show that generally aired around noon and The Paul Harvey Show helped to stitch part of the fabric of a true American culture or insight on a way to think or view the world around us.

“If I were the Devil”
By Paul Harvey

I would gain control of the most powerful nation in the world;

I would delude their minds into thinking that they had come from man's effort, instead of God's blessings;

I would promote an attitude of loving things and using people, instead of the other way around;

I would dupe entire states into relying on gambling for their state revenue;

I would convince people that character is not an issue when it comes to leadership;

I would make it legal to take the life of unborn babies;

I would make it socially acceptable to take one's own life, and invent machines to make it  convenient;

I would cheapen human life as much as possible so that life of animals are valued more than human beings;

I would take God out of the schools, where even the mention of His name was grounds for a lawsuit;

I would come up with drugs that sedate the mind and target the young, and I would get sports heroes to advertise them;

I would get control of the media, so that every night I could pollute the minds of every family member for my agenda;

I would attack then family, the backbone of any nation. I would make divorce acceptable and easy, even fashionable. If the family crumbles, so does the nation;

I would compel people to express their most depraved fantasies on canvas and movies screens, and I would call it art;

I would convince the world that people are born homosexuals, and that their lifestyles should be accepted and marveled;

I would convince the people that right and wrong are determined by a few who call themselves authorities and refer to their agendas as politically correct;

I would persuade people that the church is irrelevant and out of date, the Bible is for the naive;

I would dull the minds of Christians, and make them believe that prayer is not important, and that faithfulness and obedience are optional;

I GUESS I WOULD LEAVE THINGS PRETTY MUCH THE WAY THEY ARE!

So how does this approach to understanding give us insights on how American life has changed under a Barack Obama presidency and have us understand the power of progressive thought as it is applied to our every day lives?

This excerpted and edited from NetRightDaily.Com -

If I wanted America to fail (video)By Ryan Houck

If I wanted America to fail …

To follow, not lead; to suffer, not prosper; to despair, not dream — I’d start with energy.

I’d cut off America’s supply of cheap, abundant energy.  Of course, I couldn’t take it by force. So, I’d make Americans feel guilty for using the energy that heats their homes, fuels their cars, runs their businesses, and powers their economy.

I’d make cheap energy expensive, so that expensive energy would seem cheap.

I would empower unelected bureaucrats to all-but-outlaw America’s most abundant sources of energy.  And after banning its use in America, I’d make it illegal for American companies to ship it overseas.

If I wanted America to fail …

I’d use our schools to teach one generation of Americans that our factories and our cars will cause a new Ice Age, and I’d muster a straight face so I could teach the next generation that they’re causing Global Warming.

And when it’s cold out, I’d call it Climate Change instead.

I’d imply that America’s cities and factories could run on wind power and wishes.  I’d teach children how to ignore the hypocrisy of condemning logging, mining and farming — while having roofs over their heads, heat in their homes and food on their tables.

I would never teach children that the free market is the only force in human history to uplift the poor, establish the middle class and create lasting prosperity. Instead, I’d demonize prosperity itself, so that they will not miss what they will never have.

If I wanted America to fail …

I would create countless new regulations and seldom cancel old ones. They would be so complicated that only bureaucrats, lawyers and lobbyists could understand them.  That way small businesses with big ideas wouldn’t stand a chance — and I would never have to worry about another Thomas Edison, Henry Ford or Steve Jobs.

I would ridicule as “Flat Earthers” those who urge us to lower energy costs by increasing supply. And when the evangelists of commonsense try to remind people about the law of supply and demand, I’d enlist a sympathetic media to drown them out.

If I wanted America to fail …

I would empower unaccountable bureaucracies seated in a distant capitol to bully Americans out of their dreams and their property rights.  I’d send federal agents to raid guitar factories for using the wrong kind of wood; I’d force homeowners to tear down the homes they built on their own land.

I’d make it almost impossible for farmers to farm, miners to mine, loggers to log, and builders to build.  And because I don’t believe in free markets, I’d invent false ones.  I’d devise fictitious products — like carbon credits — and trade them in imaginary markets.  I’d convince people that this would create jobs and be good for the economy.

If I wanted America to fail …

For every concern, I’d invent a crisis; and for every crisis, I’d invent the cause. Like shutting down entire industries and killing tens of thousands of jobs in the name of saving spotted owls.  When everyone learned the stunning irony that the owls were victims of their larger cousins — and not people — it would already be decades too late.

If I wanted America to fail …

I’d make it easier to stop commerce than start it — easier to kill jobs than create them — more fashionable to resent success than to seek it.  When industries seek to create jobs, I’d file lawsuits to stop them.  And then I’d make taxpayers pay for my lawyers.

If I wanted America to fail …

I would transform the environmental agenda from a document of conservation to an economic suicide pact.  I would concede entire industries to our economic rivals by imposing regulations that cost trillions.

I would celebrate those who preach environmental austerity in public while indulging a lavish lifestyle in private.  I’d convince Americans that Europe has it right, and America has it wrong.

If I wanted America to fail …

I would prey on the goodness and decency of ordinary Americans.  I would only need to convince them … that all of this is for the greater good.

If I wanted America to fail, I suppose I wouldn’t change a thing.

Progressive Political Campaign Funds Embezzlement Case May Be Largest To Date

A legal analysis by the California state's campaign finance watchdog agency says that donations never deposited into candidate accounts by accused treasurer Kinde Durkee can be solicited a second time. But now, the multi-million dollar question in the allegations of embezzlement against Durkee: which donations were actually deposited ... and thus are now final ... and which were not? Problems! Problems! Problems! Image Credit: KQED/John Myers

Progressive Political Campaign Funds Embezzlement Case May Be Largest To Date

Ever notice how when the control freaks on the left wish apply their control over human activity, there are no boundaries to their law-making (e.g. we are already seeing how Obamacare is turning out at SCOTUS hearings) and enforcement efforts but when it comes to looking after their own activities, there exists a huge blind spot?

Look at the Obama Administration's effort to promote green energy. Solyndra became a legalized form of embezzlement through bankruptcy and a way to funnel campaign money back to the progressive cause through the Democrat Political Party.

On the other hand, these control freaks, after legally embezzling taxpayer money on a wholesale level, continued their blind spot ways when it came to the financing of their campaigns. Millions of dollars went missing for years and the facts that came to light last year are proving to be just the tip of a large embezzlement iceberg.

This excerpted and edited from Roll Call -

Campaign Treasurer to Be Charged With Embezzling Millions
By Amanda Becker - Roll Call Staff - March 27, 2012, Updated: 11:24 p.m.

Government prosecutors indicated today they are preparing to formally charge Democratic campaign treasurer Kinde Durkee with embezzling millions of dollars from dozens of political campaigns and nonprofit organizations in California.

Durkee was arrested in early September on suspicion that she used her firm Durkee & Associates to siphon nearly $700,000 from the election campaign of California Assemblyman Jose Solorio.

Since her arrest, the scope of the probe into misused funds has grown, implicating hundreds of accounts that collectively held millions of dollars raised by county-based political party groups and lawmakers who include California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Reps. Susan Davis, Linda Sánchez and Loretta Sanchez.

Feinstein’s re-election campaign alone reported that roughly $4.5 million was missing.

The details in the government’s filing, which is called an information and used in place of a grand jury indictment, will be the first complete accounting of what is known to be the largest political embezzlement scandal to date.

Court records show at least 50 victims and a total of $7 million were involved in the case.

Documents filed earlier this week in a related property seizure case indicate that Durkee and her husband, John Forgy, are cooperating with the government’s investigation and prosecution.

Durkee and Forgy agreed on Monday that the U.S. Marshals Service could sell a piece of property they own in Burbank, Calif., that was valued at more than $600,000 in 2005. The proceeds from that sale, minus liens and unpaid taxes, will be held by the court while her case proceeds.

These folks were working the wrong end of the progressive "stolen money" pipeline ... Durkee & Associates needed to set up a green energy company, manage the taxpayer money loan assets it received from Obama's Department of Energy, declare bankruptcy, and walk away with Billions of dollars as opposed to only Millions ... here during Carter's Second Term.

Paul Ryan's Path To Solvency

Now, there are certainly different types of goals: long-term, short-term, financial, physical, personal, family, educational, artistic, religious, health, etc. A country without a budget/goal is like a ship without a rudder. Image Credit: Weider Fitness

Paul Ryan's Path To Solvency

Today, the American Enterprise Institute has released a plan put forth by Wisconsin Congressman, Paul Ryan, by which our country could become prosperous and solvent through making the economic purpose of our federal government be right-sized and focused on its key reasons for existence.

This plan was issued as a response to the expansion of federal government in everyday life (through both the 43rd Presidency of George Bush and doubled-down upon during the 44th Presidency of Barack Obama) ... and most recently, the latest budget released last month by the Obama Administration.

Forget the fact that our Democrat Political Party controlled Senate, run by Nevada Senator Harry Reid, which has the responsibility to draft, pass and implement a budget, has seen fit to not pass or operate from a formal budget in over 1,000 days (blowing the lid off of spending controls). Basically, this abandonment of responsibility and public trust leaves our ship of state operating without a rudder.

So, what is the best path forward?

Paul Ryan’s new budget offers a path to prosperity and solvency
By James Pethokoukis - AEI - March 20, 2012, 10:00 am

Barack Obama doesn’t have a long-term, debt-reduction plan. Paul Ryan does. So under the Geithner formulation, Ryan wins by default.

But the latest version of Ryan’s Path to Prosperity, released today, does far more than defeat a rival who’s decided to forfeit the field. It presents a bold and sweeping solution to America’s twin problems: too much debt and too little economic growth.

– By 2022, under the Ryan Path, debt as a share of GDP would be 62.3% vs. a projected 73.2% in 2012. Under the Obama budget debt as a share of GDP would be 76.3% in 2022, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Over that period, the Ryan Path would spend $5.3 trillion less than the Obama budget by, in large part, axing Obamacare and block-granting welfare programs — including Medicaid — to the states.

– Longer term, the differences between the Ryan Path and the Obama budget are even starker. By 2030, debt-to-GDP would be 53% under Ryan, 128% under Obama. By 2040, debt-to-GDP would be 38% under Ryan, 194% under Obama. By 2050, debt-to-GDP would be 10% under Ryan, over 200% under Obama – assuming that under the Obama scenario, the economy hasn’t collapsed.

How does Ryan do it? Medicare reform is at the heart of the Path to Prosperity. Where Obamacare relies on unelected bureaucrats to keep costs down, the Ryan path uses competition. Under Ryan’s revised “premium support” plan – essentially the Wyden-Ryan proposal — seniors beginning in 2023 could use their Medicare dollars to choose from a menu of private plans, along with Medicare’s traditional fee-for-service system. Every year there would be a competitive bidding process among all plans to determine the dollar amount of the federal contribution that seniors would use to purchase coverage. (The benefits in the private plans would have to be as least as good as Medicare.) The second least-expensive approved plan or Medicare, whichever is least expensive, would establish the benchmark that determines the premium support amount.

Seniors who prefer pricier plans would have to pay the difference between the premium subsidy and the monthly premium. Seniors who choose a less expensive plan could pocket the difference. As a backup — and so CBO could score the plan — per capita costs could not exceed nominal GDP growth plus 0.5%.

The Ryan Path reforms the tax code by creating a two-rate system — 25% and 10% — for individuals, while lowering the corporate rate to 25% and moving to a territorial system. Now because of CBO budget rules, the Ryan Path assumes tax reform doesn’t boost growth, though it almost assuredly would. So when you factor in faster growth, Ryan’s budget numbers look even better. By contrast, Obama would take the top income tax and dividend tax rates to 45%, capital gains to 24%. Talk about austerity.

The Ryan Path isn’t perfect. It takes a pass on Social Security reform and fails to specify what tax breaks would be scaled back or eliminated. But even with those flaws, the Ryan Path presents a vivid contrast with the Obama budget. One leads to prosperity and solvency, the other leads to a debt crisis — with the likely response being massive tax increases and healthcare rationing by Washington – and decline.

As Ryan puts it: ”The choice of two futures presented in this budget is premised on the wisdom of the American people to build a prosperous future for themselves and for generations of Americans to come.
[Reference Here]

It is time to think about the economic future of our country and recognize the serious consequence of continuing along the path our leaders insist on taking our country over these last 11 plus years. Our country demands economic direction through strong leadership and a change to a federal government that is right-sized and focused on results versus intention in its outsized foreign-financed debt/spending agenda experienced here during the 44th Presidency of Barack Obama ... Carter's Second Term.

Barack Obama's 2012 New Year's Resolution(s) GOP Fundraiser

This morning, the Republican Party announced a fundraiser that had it's tongue planted in it's political cheek!

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus appeared on Fox News Channel soon after live video of the New Year's fireworks display from the bridge that spans across Sydney Harbor in Australia that signaled in 2012. Reince directed everyone to go to their computers and send a New Year's Resolution card from a GOP website ... but there was a catch, the resolution that one would be sending would be a proposed resolution that Barack Obama made with himself.

RNC Releases New Year’s Resolution Cards

27 December 2011 - Posted by: Johanna Persing

The Republican National Committee (RNC) launched www.ObamaResolutions.com with New Year’s Resolution cards featuring President Obama and his liberal buddies:

“As Americans celebrate the holidays with their friends and families, they will have a chance to reflect on 2011 — most notably the failed leadership and reckless economic policies under President Obama and his Democrat friends,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.

“So, we’ve launched www.ObamaResolutions.com with New Year’s Resolution cards that you can send to your friends and family reminding them of ways that Democrats could improve in 2012.

Image Credit: Edmund Jenks via ObamaResolutions.com (2011)

“We thought the president could work on a few things like his campaign slogan(s), the infamous ‘shovel ready projects’ and fulfilling the promises he made to the American people. For Senate Majority Leader Reid, we were hoping he could lead the Democrat Senate to pass a budget for the first time in nearly 1000 days. And, we hope President Obama’s own ‘Wall Street guy’ Jon Corzine can find the $1.2 billion dollars of clients’ money he gambled away.

“As we enter 2012, Republicans stand ready to tackle the enormous challenges this country faces. Americans can only hope President Obama and the Democrats will be ready to do the same.”
[Reference Here]

The Priebus premise, Barack sitting there pondering on what he could do better as President, is pretty good ... but the way the folks at the RNC put this together, frankly, could have been a little stronger and possibly a bit more humorous.

EXAMPLE:

"I resolve to play only twenty-four rounds of Golf (2 per month) in 2012 as opposed to my 30 rounds per year average (90 rounds to date ... last one, yesterday in Hawaii) since taking office."

Surfing the GOP.com website, one comes up with great fodder for proposed resolutions that not only have the sting of truth, but can play to the humor of ineptness this 44th Presidency has reined down on the American people.

For another example, a posting titled "The Big Fail - Obama By The Numbers" contained information that if developed in this way would make a great resolution for a Barack Obama card:

"I resolve to only ask that the debt ceiling be raised another 1.2 Trillion dollars for fiscal year 2012"

Image Credit: Edmund Jenks via ObamaResolutions.com (2011)

After reading most of what is contained in the "By The Numbers" posting (example excerpted below) ... THAT would be a laugh.

$15.1 Trillion:Current National Debt ($15,073,380,701,589.57). (U.S. Treasury Department, Accessed 12/6/11)

$9.1 Trillion:Amount Obama’s FY2012 Budget Would Add To The Debt Through FY2021. (OMB, 9/1/11)

$5.2 Trillion:Total Interest Payments On The National Debt Due To Obama’s Proposed Budget, FY2012-2021. (OMB, 9/1/11)

$4.4 Trillion:Added To The National Debt Since Obama Took Office. (U.S. Treasury Department, Accessed 12/6/11)

$2.6 Trillion:True Cost Of ObamaCare Once Fully Implemented. (Office Of The Speaker Of The U.S. House Of Representatives, Report, 1/6/11)

$1.75 Trillion:Annual Cost Of Federal Regulations. (Small Business Administration, September 2010)

Sadly, John Boehner, the Republican leader in the House of Representatives, would give in to this 2012 New Year's Resolution for an increased debt ceiling from the President and Barack Obama would be the only one laughing here in the last year (hopefully) of Carter's Second Term.

An American President's Christmas Message From America To All

An American President's Christmas Message From America To All

It may amaze one to ponder that only 30 years ago (December 23, 1981), a President of the United States felt it was his leadership duty to speak directly about the reason for the season and assure all, whether they believed in Christianity or not, that our country and its citizens were protected here as one, under "Faith and Freedom" ... regardless of belief or circumstance.

May God bless the memory of Ronald Reagan. A message as poignant and timeless in 1981 as it is here in 2011.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

It's Official: Obama Abandons Caucasian Working-Class Voters For 2012

It's Official: Obama Abandons Caucasian Working-Class Voters For 2012

In an article published in the UK Daily Mail, Democrat Political Party strategists reveal to the New York Times just why this coming election of 2012 will be the most divisive in modern American history. The Obama Administration will not seek to gain votes from all Americans as was the tradition of elections past.

The majority of working-class voters, by population demographics, are Caucasian, and polling shows that they have very little hope in their future prospects with a second term of a Barack Obama presidency (unless they belong to a labor Union, where folks do not have any control over dues funded political donations).

This election will become the most divisive because it will be the liberal (MSM) media's charter to publish articles that are designed to dishearten (demonize) the white working-class voters so they will feel they are in the minority and become less inclined to show up and vote in November 2012. With a $Billion dollar campaign war chest and control of of our tax base through Federal Government bureaucracies, Barack Obama will have plenty to shower upon those groups he feels that will get him re-elected to a second term.

Abandoned: President Barack Obama has been focusing on Hispanic voters and educated whites instead of working-class white Americans. Image Credit: UK Daily Mail

This excerpted and edited from the UK Daily Mail -

Obama campaign abandons white working-class voters in favor of minorities and the educated

By Daily Mail Reporter - Last updated at 5:04 PM on 28th November 2011

President Barack Obama's 2012 re-election campaign will be the first in modern political history to abandon white working-class voters, strategists claim.

For decades, Democrats have been losing more and more blue collar whites. Their alienation helped lead to the massive Republican wave in 2010, when the GOP wooed 30 percent more of them than the Democrats could.

Democratic strategists say President Obama is focusing his attention, instead, on poor black and Hispanic voters and educated white professionals.

All pretense of trying to win a majority of the white working class has been effectively jettisoned in favor of cementing a center-left coalition made up, on the one hand, of voters who have gotten ahead on the basis of educational attainment... and a second, substantial constituency of lower-income voters who are disproportionately African-American and Hispanic,' longtime political reporter Thomas B. Edsall wrote in an opinion piece in the New York Times.

'The 2012 approach treats white voters without college degrees as an unattainable cohort,' he writes later.
----
Ruy Teixeira, a strategist at the liberal Center for American Progress, wrote in 1995 that if President Clinton couldn't win white blue collar workers, his re-election bid would be doomed.

Fast forward 15 years and Tiexeria has made an about-face: 'The Republican Party has become the party of the white working class,' he told the New York Times recently.

However, he warns that losing whites without college degrees altogether would be disastrous. There simply are not enough college-educated whites, Hispanics and blacks who will make a Democratic majority.
----
Instead, as two Democratic strategists lay out, the president's 2012 re-election campaign will likely rely on winning over new 'young people, Hispanics, unmarried women and affluent suburbanites.'

This means President Obama is leaving aside industrial states like Ohio and Indiana, both of which he won in 2008. Instead, he is courting states like North Carolina, Virginia, New Hampshire and Colorado. All of those states have large populations of well-educated, white collar white professionals.

States like Ohio and Indiana, which President Obama claimed in 2008, are likely out of the question in 2012, strategists say, because they have fewer minorities and more blue collar white workers.

[Reference Here]

So basically, the re-elect Barack Obama 2012 campaign will repaint the political electoral map of the United States not as Red States (GOP) and Blue States (DNC) but as Black States and White States here during Carter's Second Term!
